Vanessa Paradis: Child star done good. Sultry actress. Chanel muse. Johnny Depp's girl. Mother of two gorgeous children. French pop star... we could go on, but you get the point. There's every reason to hate Vanessa Paradis, but we don't. A natural beauty with a sexy gap between her teeth and an impish figure, she fiercely protects her family's privacy and, despite being an actress in a relationship with a bonafide A-lister, she doesn't conform to Hollywood's ideals, whether in looks or style. She's come a long way since her Lolita-esque Joe Le Taxi days (all sexy, breathy vocals on a track that went to number one in 14 countries when she was just 14-years-old), turning her back on her wild child ways before settling down with Depp and starting a family. While doing so, her career continued to soar in her homeland and beyond, with hit albums galore and a string of art-house film appearances. Leaving her usual nymphet roles (think The Girl On The Bridge, Noce Blanche and Elisa) behind her, Paradis has now tackled a typical popcorn flick in the rom-com Heartbreaker (out in cinemas Friday 2 July) alongside the heart flutteringly gorgeous Romain Duris, which is set to propel her profile further into the mainstream. Then there's Chanel. She's rarely photographed wearing anything else, she's a Karl Lagerfeld muse and she's been an ambassador for the French brand for nearly 20 years - from the current Coco Cocoon handbag and Rouge Coco lipstick campaigns to the TV advert for Coco Chanel perfume back in 1992, which shows her famously swinging and whistling in a birdcage in fishnets and a feathered tail after she reminded the director of Tweety Pie.
