Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole is still leading the British fashion pack – she has retained her crown as the U.K.’s most stylish star for a second year running.

“The X Factor” judge shot to the top of Glamour magazine’s poll to find the best-dressed celebrity last year, pushing former winner Victoria Beckham into third place.

But while Cole has remained at the top in the latest poll, Beckham – who has garnered acclaim as a fashion designer – has dropped from third to number eight in the survey.
Rihanna took the second spot, “Gossip Girl” actresses Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were third and fourth respectively, and U.K. TV presenter Alexa Chung was fifth.

Kate Moss, Beyonce and Emma Watson also featured in the top 10.

Fashion of Jessica Alba
In other news:

One of the most famous actresses in Hollywood, Jessica Alba, will be sharing her celebrity fashion perspective to “Project Runway.” She will serve as a guess judge on Thursday’s episode of the show.

Jessica Marie Alba is an American television and film actress. She is also considered as a sex symbol and usually attracts media’s attention because of her looks. In fact, she ranked number 1 on Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list in 2001. In March 2006 issue of Playboy magazine, she was among the 25 Sexiest Celebrities and was declared as the Sex Star of the Year. She has been nominated for several awards and had won some of it.

Project Runway is an American reality television series that focuses on fashion design and is hosted by the famous model Heidi Klum. In this popular clothing-design competition show, contestants compete with each other in creating the best clothes despite the restricted time, materials and theme. She will judge Womens dresses and Womens Apparel in these competitions and shows.

The actress will help judge the outfits created by six remaining contestants. Their challenge is to make a design for an “opinionated celebrity”, who they will soon discover in the show with the show host Heidi Klum.

How Fashion Affects Celebrity Art

Many people consider fashion to be an art form all within itself. The way that certain designers can take clothes and sew them together, draping and shaping the image over the body can be a very beautiful vision. Some pieces of clothing are so well made that they are like works of art that people wear around every day. There is a natural grace and beauty that comes with well made clothing and most people recognize how beautiful these pieces of clothing can be. Many celebrities are often considered to be the best examples of how fashion can affect the world, wearing these clothes so everyone can see how well made some of these pieces are.

Different celebrities have all been considered to be fashion icons. They are often repeat customers of some of the most famous designers, who are celebrities themselves. They will often design outfits for these certain celebrities, using them as a canvas to paint their art upon. Designers are artist in themselves, providing the world with something beautiful to look at and even potentially purchase for themselves. Entire collections can be built around the clothes of a certain designer.

When different artists will make works of art out of celebrities, however, they usually will paint those celebrities at their best. Red carpet events are some of those places where those celebrities look their best and, most often, celebrities will be wearing these specially designer-made clothes to these red carpet events. Therefore, when artists take the image of a celebrity at one of these high-profile events, they are taking an image of the celebrity in these fabulous clothes and crafting the work of art around that image. The fashion that the celebrity is wearing will be incorporated into the works of art that the artist is designing.

Fashion will play a large part in the style that comes to be associated with a celebrity. When any work is made featuring a celebrity after a style has come to be associated with them, the very style that fashion helped to craft will come into play. In the past, very distinct styles were associated with both Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. These two were both considered to be fashion icons and are still recognized as so today. They are also very popular actresses and art is still made about these two today. The fashion style which they were associated with naturally comes into the picture when the art today is made of them.

Pieces of autographed art can also be made out of designs that a fashion designer might sketch about potential outfits that they want to make. These designs can be tailored to a certain celebrity and their personality and sketching is one of the most important factors to designing clothing. By making a sketch of what the designer has in mind, they can begin to see what elements may or may not work. These sketches could, in turn, become pieces of celebrity art that a person might want to collect.

Easy Breezy Fashion Style of Drew Barrimore

Taking her laidback style to the streets, Drew Barrymore heads out of her office in West Hollywood on September 3. While the rest of us are savoring the last few days of summer, Drew set forth in an autumn appropriate striped sweater (get cozy in Ella Moss' Tompson Cardigan in Navy) with loose fitting trousers (try Tag Jeans' Century City Trouser in Charcoal or Joe's Jeans' cropped Skinny Military Pant in Charcoal) and tan sandals (check out Farylrobin's Wilson in Taupe). Drew carried a taupe tote slung over her shoulder (I'm loving Rough Roses' Riley Messenger in Ash for fall), wearing her hair in loose waves as she went about her Hollywood business. What do you think of Drew's street style? Not quite as impressive as her sparkly night time look for her "Late Night" appearance earlier this week, but I still think her style is noticeably cleaned up from years past. With her new film Going The Distance in theatres, Drew has been reflecting on how her real life relates to the big screen in interviews: "My whole life has been long-distance relationships. I relate to it very much. It's hard, but it's what we really go through in life… I don't want to be in far-fetched roles anymore. I don't want scenarios that I wouldn't go through as a human being in real life." Next on her path is a role as a Greenpeace volunteer in a drama called Everybody Loves Whales - wonder if this is a reflection of her stance on animal rights? We'll have to wait and see!
